November 2021 - We welcome the community to the Hub's Open House on Wednesday, November 3, from 5-7 p.m. Check out the center, meet the new director, and have some cookies baked by the teens just for you!

October 2021 - Bradford Teen Center is delighted to welcome Riley Harrness as Director at The Hub, the Teen Center’s facility in Bradford, Vermont. Harrness, who took the helm earlier this month, will welcome area teens to the Hub after school and on Saturdays, overseeing ongoing activities such as the Food & Nutrition program, STEM education, and Magic Club, and managing the Teen Center’s general operations.


Harrness, a Newbury, Vermont resident, graduated from Vermont Technical College, married his wife Rachel in 2013, and is the father of Ileana, Landin and Dakota. The family spends most of their free time at sporting events and in various outdoor activities, including camping, boating, and hunting.


“I really look forward to helping the Teen Center grow into a place where teens can learn skills to help them later in life, have fun, and build relationships in a safe, nourishing and secure environment,” he said. “I am excited to work with the teens to develop new programs that satisfy their curiosity and provide creative outlets.” Harrness hopes to meet many teens and parents at The Hub’s open house on Wednesday November 3, 5-7pm.

October 2021 - Bradford Teen Center has been selected by local Hannaford store leadership as the benefiting non-profit in the brand-new Hannaford Bloomin' 4 Good Program for the month of October.

Bradford Teen Center will receive a $1 donation for every $12.00 red-stickered Bloomin' 4 Good Bouquet purchased at the Bradford Hannaford in October.

“What a beautiful way to give back in our local community, and brighten someone’s day,” said Christiane Carroll, Interim Director of Bradford Teen Center. “We are thrilled to be participating in this innovative program that makes it possible for shoppers to give back to local non-profits like ours as part of the weekly shopping."

July 2021 - The Bradford Teen Center has been awarded a $10,000 grant by The Couch Family Foundation, in support of the Center’s programs to benefit youth from Bradford and surrounding Vermont towns. The Foundation partners with Upper Valley organizations “working to improve children’s health and well-being, early learning and development, family resiliency, and community vibrancy.”

“We are very grateful for the Couch Family Foundation’s recognition and support of the important work we do with local youth,” said Patrick Peters, President of the teen center’s Board of Directors. “Our teens deserve our best efforts, and the Foundation’s gift will help us continue to provide quality programming and events.”

July 2021 - Welcome to our new Interim Director!

Bradford Teen Center is delighted to welcome Christiane Carroll as Interim Director at The Hub, following Patrick Peters in that role. Carroll will be at The Hub to welcome area teens, overseeing ongoing activities such as the Food & Nutrition program, STEM education, and Magic Club.


Carroll, former director of Blake Memorial Library in East Corinth, Vermont, is looking forward to working again with youth in a new setting. “The Hub is a wonderful thread in the fabric of our rich community,” she said, “and I’m pleased to have the opportunity to give back to and work with our youth, as well as collaborate with other local organizations.”

July 2021 - Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program

The Bradford Hannaford’s leadership team has chosen Bradford Teen Center as the July beneficiary of the Fight Hunger Bag Program! Each month, Hannaford stores focus on a local non-profit, which receives $1 from every purchase of a $2.50 reusable Fight Hunger Bag at Hannaford’s. Local shoppers can reduce single-use plastic in the environment and give back to those in need in the local community, all while running routine weekly errands.

June 2021 - Grant from the Tarrant Foundation

Thank you to the Tarrant Foundation for their grant of $6,000 to the Bradford Teen Center. These funds will help with day to day operating costs of the Hub, and we are so thankful for their recognition and support!

May 2021 - Pie Sale & Bake Sale and more!

to benefit The Bradford Teen Center on Saturday, May 29, 8 AM -1 PM

at Boch Park (the Waterfall Park) in Bradford, VT

The teens will be selling homemade pies, baked treats (including gluten-free), drinks, photo greeting cards, homemade jam, farm-fresh eggs, handmade masks, and tickets for a 50/50 raffle!

April 2021 - We are excited to welcome a new staff member to the Hub!

Hope Cataldo is the current 4th grade math and science teacher at Bradford Elementary School. She is the proud sister of 8 amazing siblings and interested in all things music, sports, and animals. Although she loves working with the younger students, she is absolutely ecstatic about working at the Hub with the teens. She can’t wait to support them and find new ways bring their ideas to life, while helping to build a safe and fun environment for all!

March 2021 - Thanks to a grant from the Hypertherm HOPE Foundation, we have established a STEM program at the Hub teen center! We invite teens to come create, build, and challenge themselves. Explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math on Saturdays at 3:00, starting April 10.

March 24, 2021 - After being closed for much of the winter due to state COVID guidelines, the Hub was able to re-open March 24!

February, 2021 - The Bradford Teen Center has been awarded a $5,000 grant from The George W. Mergens Foundation of Milton, Vermont in support of its ongoing programs to benefit youth from Bradford and surrounding
Vermont towns.

“We are grateful for the Mergens Foundation’s recognition and support of the important work we do with local youth,” said Patrick Peters, Director of The Hub, the home of the teen center. “We look forward to our March 24 reopening, after being closed for the winter because of Covid concerns. The Mergens Foundation grant will help us make a strong re-entry into the community, providing a constructive outlet for the enthusiasm of our teen members.”
